Service Description

Red Kite Project Leadership, Communication, and De-escalation Training for Managers to Reduce Burnout and Build Resilient Teams Why take the course? In the last decade, several studies have shown that burnout among professionals causes increased accidents, absenteeism, and workplace errors. For instance, among bus operators, those with high job strain or high burnout reported significantly more accidents than those with low job strain or low burnout.[1] In the medical industry, burnout among health workers harms patient care and safety. This includes decreased time spent between provider and patient, increased medical errors and hospital-acquired infections among patients, and staffing shortages.[2] When managers learn to address burnout and de-escalate stressful situations with their teams, they are better prepared to make informed decisions that reduce risks to themselves, co-workers, and customers while on duty. Additionally, a course on burnout prevention can improve the ability to deal with stress off the job. Red Kite Project’s two-day course aims to shift your organization’s burnout culture to a resilient culture by teaching management effective leadership and communication skills to resolve conflict and crisis. In this course, managers learn the causes and symptoms of burnout, strategies to build a resilient team, and skills to communicate empathy and psychological safety to their employees. Let us help you create system-wide change.
